Passing of K9 Deacon and K9 Denero

It is with great sadness that the Loudon County Sheriff's Office announces the passing of K9's Deacon and Denero. They were assigned to patrol and drug detection. Deacon died after a short battle with lymphosarcoma that developed in his liver. He was nine years old and served as a patrol / drug detection K9 for six years with the Loudon County Sheriff's Office, handled by Lt. Paul Curtis. Denero passed away this morning from a long battle with cancer. Denero was nearly ten years old and had a remarkable career as a patrol / drug detection K9. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Denero's partner for his entire six year career, Corporal Michael Watkins and his family. Deacon and Denero will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
