Loudon County Deputy graduates from Law Enforcement Academy

Loudon County Sheriff Tim W. Guider announces the graduation of Deputy Jason Tuttle from the Blount County Sheriff's Office ninth Basic Law Enforcement Academy.

The 11-week course began January 7th. Deputy Tuttle underwent 443 hours of intense law enforcement training, including criminal law, community relations, patrol tactics, defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations, firearms, as well as other law enforcement-related topics. He was also required to meet Cooper Institute standards for physical fitness in several categories, including sit-ups, push-ups, vertical leap, one and a half mile run, 300 meter run, and an obstacle course. The training took place at Eagleton Middle School, as well as the Sheriff's Office training facility located on Honeysuckle Road in west Blount County.
