Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider announced the arrest of two individuals, Joshua Eric Allen and Dustin Blake Russell, both age 19, just hours after a burglary occurred on April 26th on Poplar Springs Road in Loudon County. He also noted that alert Food City employees were also instrumental in the burglary being solved so quickly.

Taken from the home were several guns, a laptop computer, an XBOX 360 with games, and also $300 in change. Employees at Food City in Loudon called in about two people later identified as the suspects, cashing in approximately $200 in change and that the two left in a green Mitsubishi truck that met the description of the one reported at the burglary. Investigators were able to obtain an address of the vehicle in Lenoir City along with the possible location of the driver and passenger. After surveillance of the apartment of the suspects, investigators and deputies detained both of the suspects to be interviewed. Investigators obtained confessions from both suspects, who confessed they had broken into the house and taken the items.

The laptop and all the guns were recovered, and a hold has been placed on other items that had been pawned or sold in Knoxville. The Sheriff noted that even though the subjects were seen cashing in the change, a good interview with them by investigators was critical in being able to charge them both with aggravated burglary and theft.

Sheriff Guider thanked the Food City employees for being alert and noted good investigative work with everyone involved.
