Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider offers assistance to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office

Loudon County Sheriff Tim Guider offers assistance to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Guider sends K9s at the request of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Guider said, on Tuesday, October 20th, the Loudon County Sheriff’s K9 Unit assisted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office with the apprehension of three suspects believed to be manufacturing methamphetamine. Loudon County K9 officers and Knox County Deputies went to 11325 Sam Lee Rd. in west Knox County where the three suspects, a baby and another woman were encountered. Three Loudon County K9s were deployed to contain the area while the suspects were taken into custody. One suspect, William Tims, 25, attempted to flee from law enforcement officers when they arrived at the address. Deputy Michael Watkins ordered Tims to stop and he refused. Watkins deployed K9 Denero to apprehend him as he was running away. K9 Denero apprehended Tims and held him until Deputy Watkins and Knox County Deputies could place him in custody.

William Tims, 25, his brother Daniel Tims, 27, and Victoria Trenthum, 25, were charged by Knox County with Promotion of Meth. William Tims had numerous warrants for his arrest from Knox County and other surrounding counties. He was also charged with evading arrest stemming from a recent vehicle chase.
